Pottery manufacturing first started in Asia during the Neolithic. Vases dating back to XI century B.C. had been found in Japan. However, the term derives from the Greek “keramos”, indicating clay, raw material for pottery.
Marina Rizzelli utilizes a lot of the techniques used for the manufacturing and the cooking (read the in-depth analysis about Raku) of the ceramic to give birth to her works.
